DESCRIPTION:
John Collins, Wattisfield, England, tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a mahogany case with crotch mahogany door on bracket feet with engraved square sheet brass dial
CONDITION:
the case has been over coated and the hood top is replaced and there are veneer repairs on trunk door. There is a piece of return molding absent below hood on left. The upper left corner of the dial has a minor chip. The minute hand is replaced. According to the note inside case the calendar wheel is dated 1797. Silvering the dial would greatly enhance its engraving and readability.
